LT 1- Timberman

Listen to "LT 1" here.

Listening to this song took some... getting used to. It felt like a lot coming at me when I started listening to it. I think what caught me off guard especially was the speed of the song, which I certainly didn't hate, I just didn't expect it.

What I found to be most interesting was the two key changes- they were definitely NOT expected whatsoever, and seemed a little shocking each time they happened. It was very sudden with little build up to it, and in a way, felt out of place. However, I do think the overall execution of each key change was actually done very well.

I think, for me, it sounded like a lot was missing from this track- BUT, for a first track it is not horrible at all. I think it is mixed very well, but there just feels like something is empty within the lower frequency end throughout the whole piece.

What I did like the most about this track was the fact that it still had a decently strong melody that carried throughout the song. It's certainly not Tim's greatest melody, that's for sure, but I like that he always wrote strong melodies from the start.

I definitely didn't hate this song, but it isn't that great to me. However, it is nice to hear where Tim started. I would give this a solid four or five out of ten.
